06/05/10 Congratulations, Class of 2010!

Debra and Levi are our two newest high school graduates in the Class of 2010!  These two amazing young people are among 78 students to graduate from high school since the start of our College and Career program in 1997...and are heading to college because of friends like you!

At our Senior Day, staff members who have been family to our graduates spoke on their behalf...and Debra and Levi shared their story of growth and change, from their childhood at Boys and Girls Country to becoming the first high school graduates in their families.  For the evening's celebrations, we took inspiration from Dr. Suess and told our graduates, "Oh, the places you'll go!"  Thank you to each one of you who helps our graduates go places!

Oh, The Places They're Going!
This fall, Levi is heading to Blinn College to complete his basic coursework before transferring to a four-year university, where he plans to study kinesiology.  Debra is going to Lone Star College-Cy Fair to complete her basics before transferring to a four-year university to study education. 

Debra also earned a scholarship from the Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union, which has provided generous college scholarships to our students over the years...and we are grateful to them!  Thank you to all of our friends who give our graduates the chance to earn a college degree...and change their lives.
