Senior Day We celebrated and honored each graduate at our campus Senior Day, a time for seniors to remember life at Boys and Girls Country. Each senior, and staff members who spoke on their behalf, reflected on where they've been, what they've learned, where they'll go next...and what they'll take with them as the move into the next stage of their lives. Some will attend four-year universities and community colleges, while others will enter trade and technical school programs.
Mr. Pat, Logistics Coordinator, who spoke on behalf of Lamar on Senior Day, places an inscribed shield of faith pendant -- each senior's graduation gift -- around Lamar's neck.
The College Grad Jerome, a young adult in the College and Career program, graduated from Paramedic Training Academy this spring! He earned his certificate through determination and focus -- and also gained extensive experience in the field through his job as an Emergency Medical Technician. Jerome worked diligently -- and learned something every step of the way -- to get him to his goal, and his hard work and perseverance will take him anywhere he wants to go. We are so proud of you, Jerome!
