2/2/2012 Creating Stop Motion Videos with Our Lemonade Day Friends!

We were so excited when our friends from Lemonade Day invited us to help them make some promotional videos, and when we heard that we'd get to work with the awesome Houston nonprofit micro-cinema, Aurora Picture Show, we couldn't wait to get started!  On Wednesday afternoon fourteen of our kids piled into a van and made the trek to Houston where they spent the afternoon with volunteers at Aurora Picture Show creating stop motion videos about the business of Lemonade Day. 

The kids split into four groups and each group worked on a different aspect of running a lemonade stand: advertising, making the lemonade, building the stand, and site selection.  They used pictures from magazines, photographs, paper, and, of course, lemons to make a great video.

From Aurora Picture Show:  The kids from Lemonade Day came to our office and put together four different stop motion films concerning the main aspects of running a lemonade stand. Topics include: Advertising, Making the Lemonade, Building the Stand, and Site Selection.

Our kids loved getting to be creative in a whole new way.  Thank you to our friends at Lemonade Day and Aurora Picture Show for this unique experience!
