04/03/09 Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny – dressed as Ms. Kristi, the Education Lab Coordinator – came to Boys and Girls Country, with plenty of candy…and Easter celebrations.

One of our themes in the Education Program this year is the celebration of diversity, and our kids learned about “Easter Around the World”, through staff members who have lived (and celebrated Easter!) in other parts of the world. We followed the South American tradition of creating Easter artwork on the pavement…and followed that with an Easter egg hunt. Special thanks to our older girls who did a great job hiding the eggs throughout the courtyard!

We also celebrated students who "hopped to it" in school and earned a place on the Honor Roll for the first grading period of the semester. 

Josh joins in celebrating Easter the South American way, by decorating the walkway (though we used chalk instead of flowers!)
