12/04/08 Shopping at Barnes & Noble Can Benefit the Children at Boys and Girls Country

The Barnes & Noble Store at Champions Village in Houston has agreed to provide a Bookfair on December 10 to benefit the children at Boys and Girls Country and to also collect new and used books for our children during December.  Used books can be dropped off at the store or at Parkway Chevrolet.  These books will be placed in our library and cottages and used by our children.  

Two of our youngest girls who are 5 years old and just beginning to learn to read would love having some books that are Disney related to keep in their rooms.  Having their own books would make the girls feel special and encourage them to learn to read.

If you are shopping for books and related items for Christmas, you can benefit Boys and Girls Country by shopping at the Bookfair at the Barnes & Noble Store at Champions Village in Houston on Wednesday, December 10.  Boys and Girls Country will receive a donation from Barnes & Noble based on their sales that day only if you use our Bookfair # 436980 when you check out and only on December 10.  This is an opportunity for you to get some Christmas shopping completed early and also make a difference for our children here.
