03/16/09 150 Volunteers Turn Out to Serve!

On a recent Saturday morning, the campus was packed with 150 volunteers from the University Area Rotary Club, Duchesne Academy, St. Thomas High School, and the Community of Faith.  Each group brought talented individuals, including teens and adults, who were enthusiastic about making a difference in the lives of our children.

They cleaned the covered walkways and windows, deep cleaned two cottages, painted our Community Life Building, provided and hung over 40 hanging baskets, spread mulch, and planted flowers.  By the time these energetic volunteers left around noon, the campus had been beautified in a variety of ways.  Said one of our children, Kim, "Thank you so much for cleaning and making our yard beautiful.  It looks amazing!"
